Background

Blaina United Football Club have been established for 2 years, and it all start by a group of lads having a kick around on a monday night and playing in 5 a side leagues. The lads then decided they wanted to take it further so the club was established with 32 players being registered in the first year of the clubs exsistance.

The club struggled through a tough first year with loses in players and games, however the club remained strong and the second year went buy with a big improvemnet in results, with a larger number of games being won and players who want to play for each other. The club is now into its third season, and new players have come to strengthen a side that is now looking to contend for the league title.

Affiliation

The club is affiliated to the Gwent Football Association and the Welsh FA, and are registered to play in the North Gwent Division 1 Leugue. This season see's 10 teams competing in the league and the club entered into 4 cup tournaments, to build on the number of games to be played this season.
